Venerable attorney recognized by numerous groups for enduring legacy, ongoing excellence

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As trial attorney Mary-Olga “Mo” Lovett prepares to receive two Lifetime Achievement awards for her storied legal career, she also continues collecting accolades from legal guides spotlighting today’s top courtroom talent.

Ms. Lovett’s latest awards are courtesy of Texas Super Lawyers, which recognizes the top 5% of attorneys in the state and has included her on its annual list since 2005, and Lawdragon, which named her among its 500 Leading Litigators in America for 2026 in four separate categories.

While winning honors for her accomplishments in 2025, a year that began with her decision to leave King & Spalding to form Mo Lovett Law in Houston, Ms. Lovett is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement honor from Texas Lawyer as part of its annual Texas Legal Awards ceremony on Sept. 25 in Dallas. She also was selected to receive a national Lifetime Achievement honor at the Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards event in Washington D.C. next month.

“It has been quite a year so far,” said Ms. Lovett. “There is nothing I love more than fiercely advocating for my clients and I am honored to have been able to do this work for more than three decades. To also be recognized for it is truly special.”

Texas Super Lawyers recognized Ms. Lovett for her work in business litigation, appellate, and intellectual property litigation. Super Lawyers honorees are selected using peer recommendations, independent research, and verification.

Lawdragon, which cited Ms. Lovett for excellence in four separate categories – commercial litigation, intellectual property, class action, and products liability work – states that its honorees have “changed the course of industry and individual businesses, shaped our nation and the enforcement of its laws, and continued to uphold the role of the law as a beacon and shared imperative.”
