Leader in transport automation will highlight both Design Assist program and IT security options for healthcare facilities
HALIFAX, Nova Scotia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TransLogic™, a Swisslog Healthcare company and a leading supplier in transport automation, will utilize its consultative approach to showcase its unique Design Assist program as well as several IT security options available for healthcare systems and hospitals at the 2024 Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society (CHES) National Conference. The event brings together engineering experts in the healthcare industry to discuss best practices in design, construction, and maintenance of healthcare facilities. TransLogic will showcase its pneumatic tube systems and technological offerings in the Exhibition Hall September 9-10, 2024, at booth #81 at the Halifax Convention Centre.
“Our consultative approach sets us apart. We support customers from planning and design to implementation, training, maintenance, and upgrades,” stated Cory Kwarta, CEO of Swisslog Healthcare and President of TransLogic. “We’re actively helping healthcare facilities prepare for a more secure future, starting with their pneumatic tube systems.”
TransLogic’s presence at CHES will focus on two key offerings related to new and existing pneumatic tube systems. The first is Design Assist which leverages transport automation experts in the early stages of building and architectural designs, fostering collaboration that enhances overall project efficiency and ensures long-term serviceability. Early engagement in the design process includes consultation with the TransLogic project team and ensures consideration of the tube system vision without disruption to MEP installations. TransLogic incorporates proprietary simulations, creates 3D models, and coordinates directly with architects, engineers, and owners to ensure the tube system design meets space planning, performance, and serviceability needs prior to any physical work being done. Additionally, the delivery of a project-specific Design Summary Report offers customers an all-encompassing view of the preparatory work and a guide for a smooth installation.
The second offering is around IT security options including a variety of hardware and software upgrades. TransLogic will help customers prepare for the most current software upgrade which offers better protection against security vulnerabilities and provide web-based access to features. With the company’s V8 upgrade, show attendees will learn about choosing software-only upgrades, or combined hardware and software upgrades by tube system zone. Further, the TransLogic team will discuss how implementing other modernizations such as upgrading network communications (from Serial to Ethernet), station panels, and RDACs (where applicable) lays the groundwork for the new software upgrades to improve system performance.
“This show is all about connecting with customers, prospects, and some of our industry partners,” Michael Fedoruk, Region Sales Director at TransLogic noted. “Whether we’re planning for a new construction project or discussing an upgrade of an existing system, we are focused on providing future-ready tube systems.”
