MALVERN, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–3SI + Wren is pleased to announce Richard Long’s promotion to the position of Chief Security Officer. With two decades of service to our organization and as the founder of our Law Enforcement Division, Richard consistently displays his commitment and expertise in enhancing our partnerships in the Law Enforcement sector.

Additionally, we are proud to announce two significant leadership roles in our Law Enforcement Division: the appointment of Joseph (Joe) Courtesis as Senior Vice President and the promotion of Henry Boggs to Senior Director.

Richard retired after 30 years with the Newport Beach Police Department, where he held several leadership posts and retired as the Detective Services Commander. Most of his career was in investigative assignments, including Organized Crime, Vice, Intelligence, Crime Suppression Unit (CSU), and Robbery-Homicide. Richard now serves with many organizations, including the California Robbery Investigators Association, the Chief Special Agents Association of California, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the FBI National Academy Associates. As a CPP Certified Protection Professional, Richard is board-certified in security management through ASIS International.

At a time when criminal activities are reaching unprecedented levels, our organization recognizes the urgent need to contribute more effectively to safety and security. Richard’s promotion is a strategic move to reinforce our efforts to meet these challenges head-on. In his new capacity, Richard will play a crucial role in driving our expansion into new markets and seizing emerging opportunities to fortify our leadership in security solutions.

Joe Courtesis retired from the New York City Police Department (NYPD) after 27 years of distinguished service, including commanding officer roles at the 105th and 106th Precincts, the Central Investigations Division, and, notably, the NYPD Real Time Crime Center.

Joe’s extensive law enforcement background and deep connections within the security community will contribute to strengthening partnerships across law enforcement and commercial sectors. His leadership at the NYPD’s Real Time Crime Center, where he significantly enhanced public, private, and inter-agency collaborations, uniquely positions him to drive the company’s initiatives in integrating diverse technologies for law enforcement applications.

With 30 years of law enforcement experience, Henry has developed a broad skill set in training, investigations, internal affairs, media relations, and management. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Irvine Police Department and has contributed to law enforcement education by teaching in the IACP “Leadership in Policing” program and various college-level courses.

Henry Boggs, who has contributed significantly for over a decade to developing our network of over 10,200 Law Enforcement partnerships, will, in his elevated role, further our capacity to grow and strengthen these partnerships and our team of law enforcement professionals.

Matt Kushner, CEO of 3SI + Wren, expressed his confidence in these appointments. He stated, “Joe’s and Henry’s deep expertise and proven track records are invaluable as we integrate cutting-edge technologies with law enforcement operations. Richard’s promotion to Chief Security Officer will further enhance our capabilities to address the increasing levels of criminal activities and improve public safety.”

These strategic appointments underscore 3SI + Wren’s commitment to fostering safer communities and business environments through innovative technology and collaborative strategies. The company continues to focus on delivering actionable intelligence for crime apprehensions and efficient asset recovery, supporting the overall goal of enhancing safety and security in an increasingly complex world.
