Being accredited allows Fortanix to establish strong credentials as a trusted data security provider with the government, enterprises and investors in Singapore
SINGAPORE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Fortanix® Inc., a leader in data-first cybersecurity and pioneer of Confidential Computing, today announced it has joined an esteemed list of companies accredited by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
IMDA has independently tested and evaluated Fortanix solutions, ensuring they meet the rigorous industry standards. Government agencies in Singapore can now directly purchase Fortanix products, easing the buying process and speed of implementation. Fortanix is already a proven solution for enterprises and government organisations, globally.
“We are honoured to be part of the IMDA Accreditation programme,” said Anand Kashyap, CEO and Co-founder of Fortanix. “With Fortanix, businesses can be confident and assured that they make every effort to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act. Further, being accredited by IMDA supports Fortanix’s efforts to expand our footprint in the region — we now have more opportunities to present our products through media channels, exhibitions, and collaborations with government agencies, accessing the ASEAN/APAC markets.”
“Under the PDPA, businesses are responsible for the personal data they handle. This means they must follow rules about collecting, using, sharing and storing personal data. To do so, they need to balance privacy, convenience, and security to deliver a positive customer experience,” adds Paul McClure, Vice President of APAC, Fortanix. “With Fortanix, businesses have full visibility and control of their data. Uniquely built using Confidential Computing technology, Fortanix helps secure data at rest, in transit, and in use, for a variety of use cases including AI, confidential data search, and data collaboration.”
Data sharing is becoming more pervasive and IMDA encourages data-driven innovation while protecting the use of personal data. The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC), a part of IMDA, promotes and regulates data protection.
“We welcome Fortanix, which is at the forefront of Confidential Computing, to our IMDA Accreditation programme. Data breaches and privacy compliance are top-of-mind concerns to modern businesses, and this category of technology will be critical in addressing them,” said Edwin Low, Director of Enterprise & Ecosystem Development, IMDA.
