Seoul, South Korea―AhnLab, a leading cybersecurity company based in South Korea, announced that it has redesigned its threat content hub ‘ASEC Blog’ to improve content diversity and user experience.

In this renewal, AhnLab has enhanced content diversity and user experience of the ASEC Blog by:

  • Providing a wider range of threat intelligence analyzed by AhnLab
  • Adding advanced threat intelligence such as ‘Daily Threats’ (daily threat data statistics) and ‘Premium Reports’ that are originally limited to members of AhnLab Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP)
  • Improving user convenience through a dark mode and a responsive web design for both PC and mobile environments

Improving Content Diversity

Building on existing malware analysis content, the redesigned ASEC Blog now offers an expanded range of threat intelligence by categorizing its content into 11 distinct areas, including malware, dark web, vulnerability and smishing.

AhnLab has also introduced a new menu called ‘Daily Threats’ to the Blog, which displays daily threat statistics. In this menu, users can view daily statistics and top rankings of various threat data regarding Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), hash values, URLs, IPs and network, collected and analyzed by AhnLab.

Moreover, AhnLab is planning to provide users with partial access to ‘Premium Reports,’ that are originally exclusive to members of AhnLab TIP, AhnLab’s next-generation threat intelligence platform, via the ASEC Blog.

In addition, another newly-created menu ‘Security Advisory’ features the latest vulnerability analysis and security patch information, enhancing the usability of AhnLab’s threat intelligence that incorporates the company’s expertise in the field.

Improving User Experience

AhnLab has actively incorporated user feedback into the renewal of the ASEC Blog by adding a ‘dark mode’ option. AhnLab has also implemented a responsive web design optimized for both PC and mobile environments. Users can now choose their preferred viewing options and seamlessly access the Blog across various environments.

Furthermore, AhnLab has improved the UX/UI design of the Blog to enhance the readability of its diverse contents.

“We expect this renewal to further strengthen the role of the ASEC Blog as a ‘threat content hub’ that provides users with in-depth threat analysis by ASEC,” said Chan-Soon Lim, Head of the TI Development Team at AhnLab SEcurity intelligence Center (ASEC).

Since 2009, AhnLab has been providing the latest threat intelligence analyzed by ASEC and optimal threat response strategies using its solutions via the ASEC Blog.
